Currently, I'm reading Your First 1000 Copies by Tim Grahl.  Pretty insightful.  I pray it helps get my books into puzzlers' hands because I truly think they're different and fun.  Baby steps right now with a huge amount of patience. 😁

NEW! BOOK 2 COVER!!

 Just finished the cover for my next book... Tall Tales Word Search™ Nature.  

And, you guessed it, this book is all about nature.  I mentioned GeoWordBlox™ in my last post which are the words hidden in the letter grid in geometric shapes - squares, diamonds, triangles and rectangles - that you can see on the cover.  I hope it presents more of a challenge for the puzzler.  Plus, there'll be more puzzles in this book too with different types of searches, like word unscramble, missing words and clues!

Book 3 has also been started and will probably be more like the original, but it's really too early to say for sure yet.  I actually started it before Nature, but then got an idea to do the one for nature and rolled with it.  Guess you have to go with what inspires you.  LOL

New Word Search Challenge: GEOWORDBLOX

I've been having a great time working on the second book and will be introducing a new type of word search...GeoWordBlox!  Geometric Shapes + Word Blocks = GeoWordBlox.  I don't want to go into detail until I'm ready to start marketing it.  Probably another couple of months.

This book will be all about nature and incorporate the GeoWordBlox throughout the letter grids.  It will have more puzzles, 50 at this point, and hope it provides a greater challenge for seasoned puzzlers and teaches something new to novices and intermediate puzzlers.

The third book has been started, but still too new to determine the theme or a direction.  Please check out my current book, Tall Tales Word Search on Amazon.

Slow Going on Book 1, but Book 2 is in the works!

I believe anyone who works on a personal project for a while comes to think of it as their "baby".  I sure did.  And that EVERYONE in the world will believe it's the greatest thing on earth and will want it because they need it.  Again...🙋‍♀️  But who actually NEEDS a puzzle book??  LOL

So far, no "real" sales yet (my sister and I don't count), and of course, you can't rank unless you sell and you can't sell unless you rank.  Reviews also help you rank, but then again, you can't get reviews to help you rank higher until you sell.  Ranking on Amazon is of ultimate importance.  It's how the Amazon algorithm works it's magic and puts you in front of their millions of buyers.  But when there's hundreds of thousands of competing books that all want to be front and center, well...

I know eventually my book will sell; I figure it'll eventually be seen.  But marketing is what will make the difference.  Unfortunately, marketing isn't one of my strong points.  Though I understand the concept and need for it, it's the content that has me lacking.  Creating the ads for marketing is tricky for me.  Not sure why though. 🤔  Guess that's when you hire someone to do it for you, right??

So, that brings me to Book 2.  I started doing some research and working out the stories.  What I wrote above has me thinking...maybe I should hire someone to do my marketing??  What a concept!  Hmmmm...and looking for a professional marketer now in these early book stages would give me the opportunity to find someone I like and can work with.  Other than the cost, it couldn't hurt!  LOL  As the saying goes, you have to spend money to make money. 😱

Hmmmm... something to think about...

ANOTHER NEW WORD SEARCH STYLE!

I just came up with another NEW type of word search.  Testing has gone well, but it's still in development.  It's something new, something different and I hope a lot more challenging!

IT'S HERE!! AND IT'S BEAUTIFUL!!

So excited!!  It's an amazing thing to see your hard word turned into an ACTUAL BOOK!  It turned out exactly as I had it planned too.  That really eases the mind.  Since it's my first content book, I had no idea if my printed version would resemble the actual book, but it does!  YAY!!

Waiting for THE BOOK to arrive...

Was able to order author copies, but they won't arrive for a couple weeks. 😫  So, I placed a regular order and they'll arrive tomorrow!  Wooohoooo!  I cannot wait to share the new book with you.  I'll record the big reveal!  LOL

Really anxious to start on the next book, but marketing is really important now.  Love writing the stories.  They're so much fun.  But, it is what it is.  Marketing first!

In the meantime, I'm thinking about getting a pet stroller.  No, I'm not THAT kind of cat mom... he wouldn't let me dress him up even if I tried... but, he needs to get out as much as I do.  Should be interesting.  HA!
